Farewell

I meant to restart this blog, with new posts and pictures, once I finished my second year of university. However, I have been much less interested in fashion and style, in the last six months. Shopping is no longer a major pastime, and I don't miss it. I own clothes that I like and wear, and things that I feel inspired by, but I read fashion magazines like Vogue and Elle, and don't get excited anymore. My job, in fashion retail interests me, and I get most of my style inspirations and ideas from there, and don't need any further stimulation in that area of my life.
Elle Collections comes out today, and normally I'd have gone to all of the newsagents near me to try and find a copy, but this time, I really don't care. Maybe it's because I wasn't wild about the A/W collections for this season, or maybe I've simply had enough. I've got bored, and now I'm looking for something new.
So for now, this will be my last post here. I may return to this blog, but it won't be for a while, and it may be with something different.

Emma Stone covers American Vogue

I adore Emma Stone. Not only is she a very talented actress and an intelligent woman, she also has impeccable style; I don't think I've ever seen her put a foot wrong, fashion-wise. She's been due a Vogue cover for a long time, and I'm glad Anna Wintour has finally seen the light and given her the cover she deserves.
While it is a beautiful cover, Emma looks as though she is about to cry, and coupled with her state of undress - a Nina Ricci dress that looks like lingerie - it makes for a slightly uncomfortable sitting.
I also wish Emma had her dyed red again, but as she's promoting Spiderman, it makes sense that she's blonde.
I'm looking forward to seeing the accompanying editorial.

Long time, no blog.

I hate that the pressures of university and trying to hold down a job forced me to abandon this blog and focus on my studies/getting enough sleep. Hopefully I'll be back soon, now that I've finished my second year. I've missed blogging a lot recently.

Excuse Moi?

I'm supposed to be budgeting, but I couldn't resist when I saw this OPI nail polish. It's from the Muppets movie range, and is named Excuse Moi (for Miss Piggy, I presume). The polish is pink glitter, with some rainbow pieces as well. At £10.50, it was quite a lot to pay, but it was definitely worth it - I'm pretty sure it's my favourite polish ever

Turning Twenty

I was lucky enough to spend my 20th birthday in Paris with my wonderful friends. Of course, I took my trusty disposable cameras with me, and ate too many macaroons.

Piccadilly Circus & Hyde Park Gate

My friend and I took a trip our local Nails Inc manicure bar this afternoon, as an end of Reading Week treat. She chose the purple-y Piccadilly Circus, while I went for the bright green Hyde Park Gate, which I'm really tempted to buy, especially as it's limited edition. I feel I should add that our matching Claddagh rings are not deliberate.

Autumn Leaves

Despite sending most of this gorgeous heatwave inside, at work, I've enjoyed the chance to wear some of my summer clothes again. I wasn't expecting this weather though, so they shoes that have been glued to my feet these past few days are these desert boots from New Look. They're perfect for keeping my feet cool but great for kicking through the already fallen leaves.
