Emma Stone covers American Vogue

I adore Emma Stone. Not only is she a very talented actress and an intelligent woman, she also has impeccable style; I don't think I've ever seen her put a foot wrong, fashion-wise. She's been due a Vogue cover for a long time, and I'm glad Anna Wintour has finally seen the light and given her the cover she deserves.
While it is a beautiful cover, Emma looks as though she is about to cry, and coupled with her state of undress - a Nina Ricci dress that looks like lingerie - it makes for a slightly uncomfortable sitting.
I also wish Emma had her dyed red again, but as she's promoting Spiderman, it makes sense that she's blonde.
I'm looking forward to seeing the accompanying editorial.

Every outfit Cher Horowitz wears in Clueless. Now, where did I put my plaid skirt and knee high socks?

Just Kids

While I was on holidays in Switzerland, my friend lent me a copy of 'Just Kids' by Patti Smith. I was dubious, as I'm not the biggest fan of autobiographies. I absolutely loved it. Patti Smith's writing, particularly her attention to detail, whether it was what the colour of the hotel room walls were, or what she and Robert Mapplethorpe were wearing when they met Bob Dylan, was absolutely perfect.
I Googled her as soon as I got home too see some more photos of her (there are a few dotted sporadically around in the book).
All I want to do now is run away to New York with a beautiful boy and wear incredible jewellery with oversized shirts and tight jeans.

Teen Vogue

I've been reading Teen Vogue for a long time - for so long that they still had a UK edition when I picked up my first issue. I only have a few months left of my teenage years, and I'll be sad when I can no longer  justify buying Teen Vogue so regularly.
My favourite part of the whole magazine is definitely the fashion editorials - for years at school they were my inspiration for my outfits for non-uniform days and weekends.

Daks

It was this advert in Septmeber Vogue that I kept flipping back to look at, rather than any of the editorials. I adore the shape of and the pattern on the skirt, and how the stylist has kept things simple and classic and just paired the skirt with a black jumper.
I'm definitely going to seek out Daks but I fear it's a British heritage brand and will be horribly expensive.
