Turning Twenty

I was lucky enough to spend my 20th birthday in Paris with my wonderful friends. Of course, I took my trusty disposable cameras with me, and ate too many macaroons.

Happy Birthday Nathan

My friend Nathan, who writes the blog Real Horrorshow Tunez, turned 19 on Friday. We had planned to go to a roller disco (complete with 80s outfits), but the snow put a stop to that. Instead, we went to a little club in Kingston where Amerie (of '1 Thing' fame) was performing. She came, sang three songs, and left (so there was no time for anyone to take any decent pictures).

Happy Birthday Hattie

One of my best and oldest friends, Hattie, turned 18 last week. We celebrated by going out to Fabric in London.
The birthday girl.
Hattie and I got MAC make-overs before we went out. I hadn't had one before, and I wasn't sure what to expect. My only vague direction was "a sort-of dramatic smoky eye", and now I wish I had been a little more specific - I felt it was more than a little over the top. I did get a nice lipstick though.
In Fabric with Fiona and Sean.
Hattie wore a black dress from Topshop, and I wore an American Apparel leotard and ASOS skirt.

And a little blast from the past, taken on another birthday:

Happy Birthday Lora

One of my all-time-favourite people turned 18 on Saturday.
It took her long enough.

Happy birthday Batman.

Happy Birthday Bear!

My little brother turned SIXTEEN yesterday. I can't believe he's all grown up. He's been taller than me for a while now, but that's not the point. I'm taking him to get a lottery ticket later.

Summer 2009

It's cold and rainy outside, so I felt like reminiscing.

Happy Birthday Mimi!

My friend Miranda turned the big 1-8 today.
So I made some cupcakes:

Rosie also made a cake:

Our lunch (in the oh-so-stylish common room) consisted off sausage rolls, tortilla chips & salsa, toffee popcorn, cupcakes and Rosie's cake. She put some Philadelphia in the icing in the middle, which tasted great with the chocolate.
